The Old Post Office, or O.P.O as it is known locally is the last of six pubs that inhabited Milk Street. The name has nothing to do with the postal service, rather it started life as a coaching house. You can still eat, drink and sleep here but it was the eating that I was interested in when I visited yesterday. The menu had quite a few tempting options but being Sunday, the Sunday roast was too good to miss, especially as it had been recommended by more than one other person. There was roast pork or roast beef on offer. The pork came with a nice piece of crackling while the beef came with a home-made Yorkshire pudding. There was plenty of food on the plate and it tasted good. For 6.95 you cannot go wrong.

Great pub and restaurant near the town centre. They have themed food nights. At the moment Thursdays are fish day. Check before booking though as this may change.
