My husband and I went here for lunch last week. It was a glorious day and we sat outside in the beer garden-spectacular view!
Our food was great. I have the steak and ale pie and the extra touch of putting my name in the pastry was a nice touch. Propbably the BEST chips I( have ever had-they wwere simply delicious.
I would recommend a visit-in fact, my husband went back with his father on the weekend for a drink simply because we enjoyed it so much.

The chickens and roosters running about in the beer garden are delightful as well.

Called in with my wife when passing last Thurs.(13/9/18) and had a wonderful lunch.
The staff were welcoming and efficient and we had some of the best food we had had for ages.
We were really impressed by the vegs, sauces and the general presentation . The menu was varied and our only regret was that we couldn't manage dessert.
The bill was very reasonable and we both wished we lived in the area so we could become regular clients.
A sincere" thank you" and congratulations to all involved.

We ate here with friends on a Sunday lunch time. The restaurant was packed but we had booked ahead. I had a Sunday Roast so it was a bit difficult to judge the food. It was perfectly nice, perfectly enjoyable but I would need to go back and eat something else before I could tell whether it was anything special. The location of the dining room with its elevated view across the River Severn was, however, superb.
