The Libertine

Who are they

The Libertine Bar on the fast developing foodie hot spot of Butcher Row, is a cocktail bar serving tea and cakes by day and alcohol by night. They definitely do not serve American deep south favourites like Shrimp n Grits and Cajun eggs because that's The Libertine Bar in Dallas, Texas!

What do they offer

Until the evening, The Libertine serve cakes and pastries and great teas and coffees.

Why do we like them

We love the atmosphere at The Libertine. While primarily a cocktail bar, their cakes are first rate and worth sampling, though we'd say try to get there for lunch rather than during the busy cocktail hours. But that all depends on whether you want a quiet bite to eat and a peaceful cup of tea, or a drink in a place with an incredible atmosphere.

Fantastic Bar great Cocktail and i mean great bringing a special touch Bar Staff and Waitresses are fantastic, Very small venue but full of character, great design and use of space for such an unusually shaped bar.

Something very different for Shrewsbury a complete breath of fresh air, well done The Libertine. xxx

Wide range of interesting cocktails spanning from classic to homebrew. There's something for all tastes.

The decor is well suited to the name of the bar giving off a decadent atmosphere. It really lives up to it's namesake.

Let's all be libertines!

Nice little place, staff seem nice. Drinks taste nice and the ladies seem to love the cocktails. Staff seem to welcome the party on the street which adds to the charm.

such a fantastic environment to spend a couple of hours in. gets busy on weekend nights but i find that only adds to the funky vibe bouncing from wall to wall.
